Raspberry

Back to work, and feeling much better. Just waiting for this Colace to work. Blerg. Not cool. 

Eight weeks today. Feels like we're over some sort of hump. I've been feeling hesitant about this pregnancy. Nervous, maybe. I don't remember feeling quite like this last time. But that was a long time ago. Waiting to get over the 12 week hump. 

With my pregnancy with TheBoy, I did not have any serious "morning" sickness. A couple bouts of nausea and I vomited once (when he kicked me in the stomach at 20 weeks), but the fatigue was horrible. I came home and napped everyday after work.

This time, the all-day sickness is not cool. Nauseated throughout the day, dry heaving, gagging. It's been lovely, really. And the best part of it all, is that it's gotten worse these past two weeks while I've been off from work.

This evening was particularly bad. Eating dinner helped, but it took a lot for me to actually eat. It's a strange thing to feel simultaneously hungry and nauseated. I am not optimistic about going back to work on Monday.

Wondering if it means this babe is a girl? Or if it's just my body reacting differently to the hormones? Doesn't matter. Just don't know what to do to make it through the rest of this trimester.

Yeah, no.

Lovely adventures in the city today. 

And then that moment when you get halfway through your lunch and suddenly realize that what you're eating is making you gag and you have to spit it out and abandon the rest. Yeah, that. 

Hey look!

It's 10:00 am and I'm nauseated!

And waiting for my first appointment.


Update: Pregnancy confirmed. Take vitamins. Don't eat lots of swordfish. EDD - February 25. All of which I knew.

I can tell by my nausea when it's between 9:30 and 10:30. Is this a marketable skill? 

Prediction?

TheBoy told me that he had a sister today. She came out of his belly. Her name is Tika. 

He does not know I'm pregnant. 

And, for the record, Tika is not on the list. Actually, there is no list for names. But when there is, Tika will not be on it. There is, however, a list for spirit animal. We've got our priorities straight this time.

In a new development: Not digging coffee. Hot or iced. Not even the smell.

This is sucky because:

1) I. Love. Coffee. (Evidenced here.)

2) I would love a caffeine boost. (Still. So. Tired.)

Maybe I'll muster the energy for iced tea.
